Founded in 1947, the Folio Society designs unique books in London, England. Their lovely editions combine beautiful typography, high-quality paper, excellent illustration and top-notch printing and binding techniques. You won't find these in most bookstores: they're generally only available directly from the Folio Society. 

Folio Society editions are a personal favourite of mine.
